As a Managing Partner at TAG, David’s business career expands over 45 years as a C level executive in early stage and emerging growth companies in worldwide markets. His roles as Chairman, CEO, and CFO provide diverse experience in creating business value strategically, operationally, and financially. He has successfully taken one company public and turned around another publicly held company.
As CEO of PakSense, an innovative developer of high tech environmental intelligent sensing solutions, David implemented a long-term executable growth strategy, formed a result-oriented management team, grew revenues over 800%, and developed and marketed several new products, positioning the company for exponential growth. In 2016 PakSense was sold for 55 times EBITDA.
While Chairman and CEO of Sunrise Technologies, Inc., a publicly traded provider of lasers and related products, David helped the struggling company avert bankruptcy, raise $25 million in private equity, refocus, and reposition the product lines in the U.S., Asia, and Europe. His leadership turned the company around and increased shareholder value from $.34 to $20 per share.
David also had a nine-year career with Advanced Polymer Systems (APS) as CFO and COO. APS was a publicly traded provider of a polymer-based delivery system of active ingredients. As CFO, he directed a successful Initial Public Offering, raising $15 million. As COO, he successfully built and managed a specialized chemical polymerization plant in Louisiana.
Over the course of his career, David has successfully negotiated and implemented numerous joint ventures, licensing, research and development, and supply agreements with international companies such as Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Scott Paper, Dow Corning, Mobil Chemical, WM. Wrigley Co., and Bausch & Lomb Oral Care.
David grew up in Idaho and graduated from Boise State University with a B.B.A. Degree in Accounting. He received his Certified Public Accounting Certificate from the State of Idaho. He is past chair and currently the Treasurer of the board of the Idaho Food Bank.
